Description
Westfield House Farm B&B is located in an idyllic setting just 3 miles from the small market town of Rothbury in Upper Coquetdale and on the edge of the stunning Northumberland National Park. Within 25 minutes drive is Alnwick and the beaches and castles of the awe inspiring Northumberland Coast (AONB). Hadrian’s Wall lies around 30 miles to the south west, while the Scottish Borders are the same distance to the north.
The farm itself has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest by Natural England and we also take part in their Higher Level Stewardship  Scheme. There is an abundance of wildlife on the farm including deer, otters, stoats, buzzards as well as garden birds galore, which guests can enjoy during their stay.
Dotted around the parameter of their own field, find the four Westfield House Farm Shepherds Huts. The position of each hut has been chosen to give guests maximum opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside and little else. Once grassland for grazing livestock, the ‘hut field’ is now a hay meadow harvested only once a year, giving wildlife (and guests!) the best chance to flourish.
Despite their tiny footprint, each Hut has been designed with its occupants comfort first & foremost – you’ll be amazed by what we’ve fit inside! Electricity, hot running water, ensuite; double sized beds with crisp white linen; dining table and chairs, miniature wood burning stove, gas oven & hobs, dinky (and completely silent) fridge, well equipped kitchen… It’s easy to forget you’re ‘camping’ at all! Outside each hut has its own table & chairs and campfire with tripod grill.
Westfield House Farm also offers Bed and Breakfast accommodation.Â
