The Scrumpy Shepherd is set on a secluded 350 yr old farm in Brandeston, Suffolk. A place where you are a world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life; one where you can be inspired by the peaceful and beautiful countryside surroundings.
The Scrumpy Shepherds hut combines heritage design with the luxury of ensuite facilities to create a very special private place to stay under the vast starry dark skies of Suffolk.
Located in a private orchard setting, containing many new and ancient fruit trees, reached by walking over a meadow. The views from the orchard over the surrounding fields and meadows banking the Deben Valley are outstanding. The hut is 18 ft long and contains a scrumptious double bed, fold out oak table and chairs, hand built oak kitchen area comprising of microwave oven, hob, mini fridge, butlers sink ensuite shower room. There is a feature bathroom hidden away at the end of the hut. With exposed copper piping , together with the old fashioned cistern flushing toilet and a copper showerhead.
Outside The Scrumpy Shepherd find a fire pit, barbecue and oak table and chairs with lighting in the orchard trees so that you can choose to maybe cook outside on the barbecue or sit by the fire pit toasting marshmallows.
The Scrumpy Shepherd is in the perfect location to explore the heritage coast line of Suffolk, being twenty minutes from the coastal town of Aldeburgh, and Just eight miles from the quaint town of Woodbridge, with independent shops and local pubs serving local food.
