Your 6-berth vessel, Portland, offers you and your crew a luxurious stay on water. We are available for self-drive holidays and anchored-breaks at our base at Sawley Marina on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border.
Our anchored breaks provide an excellent base to relax on water and enjoy yourself, but minutes away from the historic villages of Sawley, Shardlow and the market town of Castle Donington. Further afield, Portland is a great venue for walking the rivers and canals of the area, and within 30 minutes drive of the Peak District National Park. For anchored bookings, we offer weekend skippered trips as an optional extra (POI) to give you a taste of narrowboating.
Our luxury self-drive holidays allow you to captain the boat, following comprehensive training, and chart a canal course. Stopping at canal-side pubs or pleasant villages, or indeed, mooring-up in a secluded spot for the night: the choice is yours.
