Offering luxury country getaways for 2 adults in shepherd huts nestled in the picturesque parkland of an historic family estate in Somerset. Once home to Captain John Hanning Speke, a Victorian Explorer credited with ‘discovering’ Lake Victoria Nyanza the Source of the Nile in  1858.
Fully self-catering with kitchen, bathroom and double bed the Shepherd huts ‘Stanley and Livingstone’ are available all year around. You can see the changing seasons through the window whilst relaxing next to a wood-burning stove in winter or watch the sunset while sitting out cooking over the fire pit in Summer. Each Hut comes with it’s own exclusive 2 person wood-fried hot tub and pizza oven / Fire pit.
Fully insulated and heated with a log burning stove. The Shepherds Hut each have kitchen facilities, dining table, bathroom with shower and fold down Double bed. Also they each come with their own exclusive use 2 person wood-fired hot tub and pizza oven / fire pit.
Situated at the foot of the Blackdown Hills (AONB), near Ilminster, guests are within easy reach of the Somerset Levels and Glastonbury, Dorset’s Jurassic Coast and Lyme Regis, Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks.
