Description
Chalke Valley is a small exclusive campsite, with six heavy duty bell tents, each comfortably sleeping four guests.
Located on a working farm in the Wiltshire Chalke Valley, within an area of outstanding natural beauty, the location is picturesque and idyllic.
Each tent has a double mattress bed, and two single futons. Hot water bottles, books a pack of cards, a few cooking essentials are also provided. With a fire pit, bbq area and a sky full of stars, it’s easy to while a way evening at Chalke Valley.
Onsite there is a flushing toilet, shower block and shared communal kitchen, eating space.
During the day a visit into the village of  Bowerchalke is a must, a pretty meandering village with a church, village hall, and cricket pitch with new pavilion.  On Saturday mornings there is a weekly market in the village hall, run by volunteers, which supplies home-made and home grown fare.
The iconic Salisbury is within easy reach, where guests can visit the magnificent cathedral, or perhaps enjoy the many shops, cafes and restaurants. A bus service operates from Bowerchalke to Salisbury.
Just an hours drive away, guests can visit the Jurassic Coast, or even the seaside town of Weymouth, Stonehenge, Longleat House and Wildlife Park, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole caves, and attractions such as Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World.
