By the Wye

Hidden in the heart of Hay on Wye, enjoy a stay in this campsite with a twist. Cosy, comfortable and environmentally sustainable By The Wye offers luxury safari tent accommodation, in an off grid location. Using solar energy and designed to minimise the impact on the woodland surroundings, the Safari tents are perched on platforms above the woodland floor, many areas of the site have been left untouched as nature reserves and SSSI’s attracting an abundance of wildlife.

Enjoy floating above the woodland below, listening to the River Wye babble experiencing the Brecon Beacon dark sky reserve glitter above.

Each of the five Safari tents combine the rustic eco-friendly practicalities of a campsite with the luxury of a boutique hotel with the comforts of home, under canvas. Each tent has its own en-suite bathroom, and a covered deck area with seating to make the most of the riverside views, there is also a separate picnic table and fire pit for alfresco dining.
Sleeping five guests per Safari Tent, the tents offer a fitted kitchenette including hobs and kitchen sink, wood-burning stove and a welcome food hamper.

Two dogs are permitted to stay in the specially designed Dog-Rose Tent. By the Wye is located within easy reach of dog-friendly walks in Hay on Wye, the river and  pubs, so you’ll be able to do all the things you were planning to do on your holiday anyway and your dog will be able to come along for the ride!
