Bonny Cottage

Aptly named, Bonny Cottage is located in the middle of Middleton-in-Teesdale, next to the river Tees.

This stylish cottages offers three bedrooms, sleeping seven guests, with plenty of entertaining space to match. Including a beautiful open-plan lounge/diner, with the added benefit of a wood burner, perfect to cosy up on a cold evening. A kitchen with a high glass ceiling, that floods the room with light and provides opportunities to stargaze on a clear night. The second lounge provides great additional reading space, with X Box and a selection of games, a great space for the group to relax or play games together.

Opening the kitchen doors, guests can enjoy the sunlit patio with garden furniture, an ideal spot for al fresco dining. There is a lockable outbuilding for securely storing your bikes also.

Bonny Cottage is ideally based to explore the abundance of activities in County Durham and the Northern Pennines. For easily accessible day trips there is a trip to High Force waterfall, Eggleston Hall and Gardens, Raby Castle and further afield to the cities of Durham or Newcastle upon Tyne.

Closer to home, guests can enjoy two pubs and an award winning fish and chip shop within two minutes walk from the cottage. Also the nearest town is the historic (and recently made famous) Barnard Castle which has the castle itself, the historic Buttermarket, Bowes Museum (just the building itself is beautiful) and lots of tea shops and antique shops, perfect for wiling away a day.
