The Barley Mow at Bonsall, is a pub dating backĀ over 200 years, steeped in history, and know for its century old tradition of Hen Racing!
Currently, it sees and sells itself as a small, quirky, boutique and fairly bohemian pub, serving good food, in a friendly welcoming environment.
Guests to The Barley Loft accommodation, a well situated self-catering flat above the pub, can enjoy the bohemian, eclectic luxury of the pub, through the lovingly planned decor, of the two bedroom property, sleeping up to four guests.
The flat has its own separate entrance ā it is not accessed via the pub at all ā and has storage for bikes in a shed. It is also surprisingly light and airy, due to fairly high ceilings and windows on both sides.
The Barley Loft is located in the beautiful and picturesque Derbyshire village of Bonsall, situated on the edge of the Peak District, which is near to several other areas of interest including the historic market town of Bakewell, and the World Heritage Centre, Cromford. The area is a haven for many outdoor pursuits, such as walking, climbing, caving and cycling too.
