The George & Dragon is an 18th Century West Norfolk pub, Located in Newton by Castle Acre.
Serving planned simple dishes rich in flavour, using seasonal ingredients from Norfolk and around the world. Menus are balanced between vegan and vegetarian recipes, alongside burgers, steaks and fish prepared on a huge kitchen grill. The 2 and 3 course week day set lunch menu is a popular choice.
The original interior of The George & Dragon, is a nod to the building’s origins, thoroughly Dickensian with low ceilings, old leather chairs, leather-bound books and carefully chosen lighting. The front door opens into a traditional bar area where the real ales are brewed locally.
With great event space too, the George & Dragon is an ideal location to celebrate a special occasion. Offering the Pickwick Club Room, a delightful snug and 2 wonderful bars areas seating up to 100 in total, the garden room opens onto a terrace & garden area seating up to a further 150 and overlooking a play area & the beautiful countryside beyond.
