Nestled on a working farm, in the heart of Aberdeenshire, find Boutique Farm Bothies and their two truly unique self-catering accommodation: Barley Bothy & The Sheep Shed.

The Barley Bothy, hand made by the team, was once a chicken shed! After 14 years sitting dismantled in a shed it has been upcycled and given a glamorous new life! With star gazing windows built in, to enjoy the gorgeous night skies, with zero light pollution, producing breathtaking star filled skies.

Enjoy the experience of managing the wood burning stove for heating and wood burning range for cooking, which has a hot plate a roasting oven and warming drawer. This off grid plus concept provides subtle electric  lighting and a charging point for electronic equipment but getting back to nature and spending quality time with loved ones is what a stay at Barley Bothy is all  about! Sleeping four guests in two king sized box beds, Barley Bothy is ideal for families. Guests can enjoy the en-suite facilities, with separate bathroom with cast iron roll top slipper bath complete with star gazing window to relax into! Sit on the veranda with your sketch pad and paint brush to capture the views of the great outdoors. Deer, pheasants, hare, and birds are prolific on the farm. Enjoy the gorgeous views surrounding the Barley Bothy while you wait for the kettle to boil.

The Sheep Shed is on its own, hidden in a wee copse, sleeping two, in a king size bed, on a mezzanine with star gazing windows. Guests can enjoy the wood fired range cooker, solar powered electrics, and the en-suite facilities including tin water trough bath, and flushing vintage loo.

Guests to both Barley Bothy, and The Sheep Shed, can also relax in their own private wood fired hot tubs. Star gazing while the log burner crackles, a glass in hand in the company of your loved one – a purely magical experience! Light the log burner on the deck beside the hot tub and keep the fire well stoked with the lid on the tub and within a couple of hours it should be hot enough for a soak.

Both bothies have their own wood fired pizza oven, and on request homemade pizza dough and pizza kits can be provided.
Plus local produce food hampers can be arranged for arrival.
