Washingpool Farm is an eighty acre farm in the heart of Dorset, Settled on the banks of the river Brit, near Pymore.
Onsite take a visit to the Washingpool Farm Shop, stocking produce grown and reared on their fertile farm land.
It’s sandy soil on the top of the ridge makes it ideal for growing vegetables and potatoes. The meadow along the stream provides grazing for the pedigree herd of ‘Red Ruby’ North Devon beef cattle and the pigs help clear waste vegetables. Washingpool Farm is also home to a variety of chickens that provide eggs and a small flock of sheep that produce quality, tasty lamb.
During a visit why not also visit the onsite cafe, The Farmer’s Kitchen is a licensed cafe serving breakfasts, lunches, morning coffee and afternoon tea. Using local ingredients and Washingpool Farm produce wherever possible, dishes include cheddar and spinach soufflé, lasagne with real chips and home-made soups and sandwiches.
Washingpool Farm, also offers two holiday cottages, and a small caravan site.
