Sheriff Lodge is an elegant B&B in Matlock, a Peak District town that was once famed for its hydro and spa treatments.
The property dates back to the eighteenth century, its character and charm mixed with peaceful yet uplifting decor.
The five en-suite rooms, all offer triple aspect views over the River Derwent Valley. A stay at the Sherrif lodge offers guests lots of little extras to make your stay even more comfortable, including luxurious seven-foot beds, power showers and TVs with complementary use of Netflix. As a further added touch, all guests are welcomed with fresh homemade cakes and a pot of tea.
The breakfast has a reputation of its own with cooked to order dishes and all products sourced locally,. There is a huge choice at breakfast including the Full Derbyshire Breakfast, Egg Benedict, Eggs Florentine, Sheriff Lodge Special Eggs AKA Jumblies, Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Egg. Special diets are also catered for, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free, soya, oaty milks also available.
Breakfasts are essential, to fuel days spent exploring Derbyshire and the wider Peak District, with popular attractions such as Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and the Heights of Abraham all close to the Sheriffs’ Lodge.
