Description
The British Bird of Prey Centre is a specialised bird of prey visitor centre located within the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Carmarthenshire.
Our aim is to give everyone the opportunity to interact with, and learn about, the birds of prey that can be found here in the UK and in doing so inspire future generations to care for wildlife. As part of your full day out exploring the great outdoors you’ll be able to visit 20 birds in the aviaries, watch three unique flying displays, visit a butterfly house and see the worlds largest single span glasshouse!
If you’d like a truly up-close experience flying birds of prey yourself we offer five different experiences flying iconic British birds! If you’d like a gentle introduction into flying birds of prey you can join a group flying session on the day of your visit where you’ll fly an owl or Red Kite as part of a small mixed group of people. For a more immersive experience you can pre-book a private flying experience where you’ll be paired with a personal falconer who will guide you (and anyone you’d like to invite)
